Her brand image is strong, independant and inspiring to other artists. She does pop and contemporary R&B music genres.

   2. How does the video emerge and entertain its audience?
It uses intertextuality from Mean Girls and Sharpay from High school musical- nostalgic and familiarizes the audience.

  3. Does it explore big ideas and comment on society?
Not significantly, but it mocks relationships in today's society.

  4. Who is its core audience and how does it target them?
Mainly young girls-young women.
Its a very feminine video and features celebrities such as Kris Jenner, who is a big influence on teenagers in todays society.
 
 5. What elements of this video would encourage an audience to share it or like it?
The themes it conveys and the celebrities it features.(singers, youtubers)

The camera shots used helps build star image because its mainly establishing shots which show other people meaning Ariana Grande isnt all about herself and she invloves others

They use props, costumes and settings from other films on the main characters in the video to build nostalgia and shoe popularity to create humour.

How do the music and lyrics work with the visuals- how does the editing change to relfect the mood of the music as well as its pace and how does the narrative match the lyrics or mood?
They both match together well but the music video is more in a humour way reflecting on other media works which gives the lyrics a fun impression.

The narrative is that relationships come with different meanings.

  1.  the book at the start shows her exes and that shes over them
  2. convo at salon-talking about exes in sexual manner but humour too

It is mainly pop- media language and summery colours show happiness and fun

Big issue front cover

  I have chosen to do a NHS feature for my big issue cover because as the elections are coming up, a main proposal for left wing parties, especially labour are highlighting a NHS pay rise etc. This conveys with the Big Issue as although they don't follow a particular political stance, it is clear that they portray left-wing views and don't feature big businesses or banks, so to achieve this, having an NHS feature is very significant for the values and ethos of the big issue. I followed the Big issue house style and conventions by illustrating a powerful colour palette, through the rainbow and contrasts of yellow and blue make the cover stand out. For the background i used yellow to represent positivity an happiness, illustrating the 'sun' so that it can shine among the NHS staff. On this background i have engraved 'NHS' among it to make it seem unique and also give more appreciation to NHS and convey the values of Big Issue. I have chosen this specific cut-out o
